Sure, finals in high school may seem difficult, but they are nothing compared to college. Finals week in college is almost like surviving the Hunger Games. You have to fight to stay alive when all you want to do is sleep. We have devised a list of ways you can (attempt to) survive your finals.
1. Start studying early, but not crazy early. It's always good to start making your flashcards and stuff a few days in advance. We know what you're thinking- "I still have a week, I can watch those next 7 episodes of Grey's Anatomy", but you're wrong. Get your head in the game.

2. Go to review sessions or meet with your professor. Some professors are impossibly difficult, but most of them really want to see you do well. Just showing them that you care about succeeding could help when you need to bump that 89 to a 90.
3. Try to make friends in your class and form a study group (look for the people that usually make A's). Studying is the most boring thing on earth, especially when you aren't very passionate about the class. Study groups make everything more fun and they also help keep you focused.
4. Reward yourself with a little bit of free time. If you sit with your head in a text book for too long, your brain will actually start melting. Give yourself like a 30 minute break every few hours to nap, or eat, or shower for goodness sakes.

5. Get plenty of sleep. Make sure you are getting lots of sleep the week before finals and during too. Take as many short naps as you can and try not to look like a character from the Walking Dead. Remember, if you cannot see your scantron because your eyes are hardly open, there might be a problem.
6. Stock up on energy drinks and comfort food. You will need energy drinks and coffee to stay awake, and the comfort food is for when you do not kill that Chemistry final. It's okay, you deserve that cupcake.
7. NEVER skip breakfast. We know it's cliche, but breakfast is the most important meal of the day and it helps wake you up and get your ready for another day of tests and studying.
8. Give yourself time to re-cooperate. After a test, give yourself a few hours to cry before you jump straight into studying for the next one. Your brain needs to relax and so do you.

9. Don't freak out if you didn't do awesome. Sometimes failing a final seems like the end of the world, but when it's over, there is nothing you can do to change it. Cry for a little bit but don't let one final ruin the rest of your week. Move on and stay focused and then go get 'em next semester.
10. Just remember to try your best! It sounds like something your mom would tell you but in the end all you can say is that you tried your hardest. Tests suck, we know, but don't let them ruin your entire life.
