1. Go to Target and buy an excess of tissues...trust us you'll need them.
2. Have a nice long cry in your room because you are about to endure what some people say is the actual worst week of their lives. (You can use those tissues from earlier... but remember to save some for the week ahead)

(Hopefully you have a prettier crying face than Kim)
3. Look in the mirror and tell yourself that you are beautiful...because you are. Whatever happens this week does not define who you are as a person. Your identity does not come from the opinions of one group of girls, it comes from you. Just don't forget to remind yourself of those things.
4. Find a genuine friend in your Pi Chi group. You will need her... a lot. She will be your human tissue.

5. Be prepared to call your mother every day (at least 4 times per day). Most moms have been through these same issues that you're having and they're surprisingly good at giving advice.
6. Hairspray. We didn't use it and we had afros by the end of day 1... some things you don't want to learn the hard way.
7. Pack yourself a bag full of essentials. Snacks, water, DEODORANT (girl, you will literally kill people with your armpit stink), gum, a hairbrush, a small fan, an umbrella, a blow up pool for cooling off, a new outfit for every party, a tent for chilling in, a swimsuit for tanning between parties, flat screen for netflix watching if you get bored, etc.
*Please note that some of those items were exaggerations*
8. Trust your Pi Chi, she seriously knows what she is talking about. She has experienced both sides of rush and knows exactly how you feel. When the days get long don't hesitate to just sit down and talk with her about anything, that's why she is there. Also, have fun with the girls in your group. You're all going through this together and you all need the extra support. Laugh with them, cry with them, and enjoy the week with them.

9. Just when you think you cannot take it anymore, all of your hard work will pay off and the bid day fairy will come and deliver you your bid. It's like a freaking golden ticket, and you're Charlie Bucket. If you don't get a bid, we can promise you that Auburn has so many more activities for you to try. You will find your place and your people somewhere. Even if it's not Greek.
10. After you run for what feels like miles to your new sisters, you need to relax and sleep until the semester starts. Be happy and start finding your place as soon as you can. There is a reason you're in this sorority with these girls. It might take a little while to find your niche, but we know you will! (Seriously, go home and take a minimum of a 7 hour nap, you've earned it) (Also, walk around without makeup for a week because your skin was just traumatized by Alabama weather)
